Small trees or shrubs. Their height goes to 1–6m. The branchlets are cylindrical or nearly quadrangular and stellate tomentose. The stipules are present and sometimes leaflike. The petiole is 0.2–2 cm in length; the leaf blade is narrowly elliptic and narrowly ovate or elliptic, 1–25 x 0.7–9 cm, adaxially slightly bullate, abaxially stelalte tomentose, stellate tomentulose and often with glandular hairs but glabrescent, base decurrent, margin entire or less often serrate, the apex is obtuse and acuminate to rarely acute, the lateral viens are 8–13 pairs. Inflorescenes are terminal and in axils of apical leaves, 3–25 x 2–12 cm and paniculate or thyrsoid cymes. Calyx is shaped like a bell, 2.5-4 mm, outside stellate tomentose and mostly with glandular hairds and the insides are glabrous. The lobes are broadly triangular to triangular and measure 0.3-1.2 mm. The corolla is white, pink or lavender in color with an orange throat, which is 7–12 mm, the outer side is stellate and tomentose and with some glandular hairs, they are tube shaped 6–10 x 1.2–1.6 (2) mm, the inside pilose is above base; the lobes are suborbicular and they measure 2–2.5 x 1.8–2.2 mm. The stamens are inserted just below the corolla mouth, the anthers are oblong 1–1.2mm. The ovary is ovis, stellate is hairy and measures 1.2–2 x 0.8–1.2 mm they have glandular hairs except a glabrous base. The stigma is clavate and measure 1–1.5 mm. The capsules are ellipsoid and have a powdery white appearence and measure 4–7 x 2–3 mm in size. The seeds are oblong, 1–1.2 mm and winged at both the end. The flowering takes place between Mar–Jun.

That is found only above 1800m. and flowers are pink and also not found in Kathmandu Valley.
