Lepisorus from Dirang area, march 2024: 3 images.
This one is a Lepisorus but now, I have some documentation and I’m afraid I should have removed the rhizome to see some more features.


Yes, unfortunately without seeing a good close-up of the rhizome showing its scales Lepisorus species cannot be identified.  Also the approx. altitude is needed.  At a wild guess, I would think it might be L. thunbergianus or L. contortus, perhaps a small L. nudus.  But these are not identifications as the essential diagnostic features are not shown.

I now have all the photos he made of ferns and will reidentify them all (where possible) for him. They can then be posted further.
I’ll try to get this completed today.
