A shrub. 3-4 feet high.

Spines long 3-4 cm. White translucent fruits can be observed.

Can it be Scutia?

It may be Azima tetracantha of Salvadoraceae.

Thanks for the appreciation. Are the flowers depicted male or female? I thought that the fruits are bird attracting and planted at my residence. It is not fruiting.

completely new never seen it around here
apparently grown in a medicinal garden, in kerala found one picture that shows a label for this vine with peculiar thorns two almost at 90 deg to the stem…

Azima tetracantha Lam., dioecious shrub of Salvadoraceae

For me it looks like Azima tetracantha (syn. Monetia barlerioides L’Her.) of Salvadoraceae family. This is a very common plant in plains of Southern Karnataka especially in Mysore Mandya district.
