Slender procumbent herbs. Leaves 3-6 x 0.5-1 cm, linear- lanceolate, base obtuse, apex acute to acuminate; sheath to 1 cm long, margin ciliate. Spathe 1.5-3 cm long, ovate-lanceolate, base sagittate-auriculate, apex acuminate; peduncle to 2.5 cm long. Sepals c. 5 mm long, ovate-obtuse, concave. Petals blue. Stamens 3; staminodes 3, all naked. Ovary tomentose, 2-celled; ovules 2 in each cell. Capsule c. 6 x 3 mm, oblong, 2-locular. Seeds c. 4 mm, whitish-appendaged at the ends. Flowering and fruiting: August-November

I am much confident now, as in 2012 I must have overlooked due to its similarities with C. clavata, but I am happy and more certain Commelinaceae taxa these days.
