Brassicaceae herb from Assam KD 03 Jul : 4 posts by 3 authors. Attachments (6).
Attached images are Brassicaceae sp., may be Rorippa sp. Please ID the plant.
Date :14.07.2014
Location: Assam
Family : Brassicaceae
Genus & species : Rorippa sp. (?)
Habitat: Grows wild
Habit : Smaal herb Appears to be Arabidopsis thaliana My attached images are not Arabadopsis thanliana. In Arabadopsis thanliana flower is white, sepal and petal present (According to Flora of India, Vol. 2, page 231). But my sp. has no petal, only 4 sepal, erect, green in colour with pink spot (observations after dissecting the flower). I hope, it may be Rorippa dubia but not Arabadopsis thanliana. Clearly not Arabidopsis thaliana which is much more delicate plant. Habit suggests Rorippa, and R. dubia (syn: R. indica var. apetala) looks likely ID. . SK 2922 14 July 2021: 9 very high res. images. Location: Kathmandu, Central Nepal Altitude: 1825m. Date: 14 July 2021 Habit : Wild Rorippa dubia (Pers.) H. Hara or Rorippa indica (L). Hiern ?? This may be Rorippa dubia (Pers.) H. Hara as I do not see any petals (only have the sepals) in the flower as per Keys in Flora of China and as per FoC illustration. Seems to be correct … I too think so |
