Rosaceae Week: Dropwort (Filipendula vulgaris) mädesüß from my garden in Ritterhude:
Dropwort (Filipendula vulgaris), also known as Fern-leaf Dropwort,
/Filipendula/ species are used as food plants by the larvae of butterflies and many insects. The flowers have a sweetsmell, and the seedpods are beautiful too.
