Thalictrum punduanum Wallich var. punduanum is a small herb growing on moist shady rocky slopes. It is known to occur in temperate Uttarakhand, Nepal and Sikkim Himalaya only and rare in occurrence. On web search no authentic photograph of this species is visible. Pics here may be the first. It is new for efloraofindia. The Plant List 2013 mention it as unresolved name, GRIN and TROPICOS do not recognize it but Flora of India vol-1 (pp.139-140) accepts it as a distinct species. Thanks … for showing this rare plant.
It is exciting to observe a post when a new plant is posted on the group as many species have already been posted.
The typical leaf pattern is visible in second picture.
The number of stamens appear to be less as compared to other Thalictrums. . MS,Oct.,2021/23 Thalictrum sp. ? for id.: 2 images. Location : Ailawng Date : 28-07-2018
Habit : Herb
Habitat : Wild Thalictrum rotundifolium DC. Leaves here appear to be shiny and also have no distribution in India as per POWO.
May I request you to pl. post the keys. . Maybe Thalictrum punduanum as the leaves are abaxially glabrous (abaxially glandular in Thalictrum rotundifolium de Candolle as per Flora of China)
