Sighting: Kabbinale forest block, Sakaleshpur, Hassan, Karnataka, about 1200 msl Date:12-12-2014 one of species no. 8 and 11 at point 12 of http://efloraindia.nic.in/efloraindia/taxonList.action?id=14&type=3 possibly species11 This appears to be Taxillus tomentosus (B.Heyne ex Roth) Tiegh. (Loranthus tomentosus B.Heyne ex Roth). However, I suggest that the characters should be checked with an authentic description in floras, particularly Flora of India, Vol. 23 (2012), before confirming. Similar species has been identified in FOI as T. recurvus. I am unable to decide between these two. Pl. help If we go by images at FOI, it should be T. recurvus http://www.flowersofindia.net/Hairy%20Mistletoe.html http://www.flowersofindia.Curved-Flower%20Mistletoe.html .
