looks like Hypericum elodeoides
But height seems to be much more than H elodeoides

I too think this is Hypericum elodeoides Choisy in Candolle, Prodr. 1: 551. 1824. (Syn: Hypericum napaulense Choisy)
Some plants can be bit taller than the descriptive plant after all genetics plays the game.

Hypericum elodeoides is a perennial herb scarcely exceeding 60 cm. This should be H. lysimachoides Wall. which is now correctly known as H. dyeri Rehder

May be hypericum perforatum????

I think H. perforatum is a herb where as the plant here looks more like a big Climbing Shrub. I had also seen this along the same trail.

We may also think about Hypericum dyeri ????

Narrow almost elliptic-lanceolate, short petiole, sepals linear-lanceolate, spreading in bud all point to H. dyeri.
Flower size should help further.

I have been wondering if this dyer was the indian infamy dyer … no… its a different MR. Dyer… I was glad… so would you all… googled for “who is this plant named for: hypericum dyeri? ”
middle of the page got me the Flowers of India page and there I found the following…
I quote…..”Dyer’s Hypericum is named for Robert Allen Dyer, 20th century South African botanist and taxonomist” end quote….
so am glad to know
and lesson… even before googling just go to FOI site…chances are the answer’s going to be staring at tyou to discover it…

While looking through Hypericum resources, I realised that I had photographed one on my walk to Triund on 31 July and didn’t edit. Looking at the spread lanceolate sepals, I guess this to be H. dyeri. Please advise.
