… How did you come to the ID? Is the plnt reported in that area. Will you please elaborate some general information etc.to a novice like me regarding this plant.
… Did you find the plant in river beds? High mountains/plains of J&K?
These questions are due to the similarity of a plant observed by me in Spiti valley Capparis spinosa. A variety(Or similar plant) of which is also seen in Western ghats river beds

Thanks … for prompting me to do some more research. My earlier identification was based on Flora Simlensis, which covers the plants of neighbouring similar area, the Himalayan species, C. leucophylla DC. The correct name for this is now Capparis sicula subsp. leucophylla (DC.) Inocencio, D.Rivera, Obón & Alcaraz

I mean Capparis spinosa L. (not the Capparis spinosa subsp. spinosa) has got distribution in Nepal according to POWO and GBIF and as well in the journal published by RBGE Dr. Colin Pendry.

When you say Capparis spinosa L., it means Captains spinosa subsp. spinosa only and not any other subspecies or variety.

I am still confused:

POWO shows distribution of Capparis spinosa L. (including all the 12 subspecies and varieties) for Nepal.
For distribution of Capparis spinosa subsp. spinosa, you have to refer to this page of POWO.

I have already mentioned that POWO shows no distribution of Capparis spinosa subsp. spinosa for Nepal.

The main thing is which is this sp. among so many sp., subsp. and var.??

Capparis spinosa subsp. spinosa var. spinosa does not have distribution in Nepal.
It gives distribution of Capparis spinosa subsp. spinosa var. canescens Cosson in Nepal.
