Dendrobium tortile

Plant blooms in the winter to summer with one to three 8 cm wide flowers. Flowers are fragrant.
Plant is found in Assam India, Bangladesh, Andaman Islands, Malaysia, Myanamar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam at elevations around 1220 meters
Culture- Plant requires cool to warm temperatures and medium amounts of light. Keep plant moist and fertilize during growth season. From fall to winter keep plant dry and withhold water until new shoots appear in spring. Grow in a well drain mix of sphagnum moss or medium fir bark.

Dendrobium aphyllum

This is a Dendrobium species. More likely D. primulinum or D. aphyllum with slight variation from both the species. The thick stem, no. of flowers at each node, leaf shape, undulate petals do not support this as D. aphyllum. This is extraordinary. Actually flower and stem both doesnt match with either D. aphyllum or D. primulinum. or D. cretaceum or D. polyanthum.
Labellum doesnt look so hairy. The closest match I can imagine is Dendrobium tortile (with slight variation).
THIS IS A VERY INTERESTING FINDING.

This may be the albino form of Dendrobium aphyllum but the undulate form of petals is somwhat confusing.

Ofcourse not !! … please look at the stem, forget the flowers !!!

This could be Dendrobium aphyllum but what … commented that is true “its stem doesn’t match with D. aphyllum“. Is it a wild or cultivated?

I still think this is Dendrobium tortile.

Yes this is not Dendrobium aphyllum or D. primulinum or D. cretaceum or D. polyanthum it is look like Dendrobium tortile.
