observed this flowering herb/ shrub in full bloom, attracting variety of butterflies. Couldn’t zero on species.

Is it Vernonia? I think this can otherwise be Centratherum sp. (may be C. anthelminticum).

Leaves Type/ Shape/ Size- Shape –Leaf shape – Elliptic; Leaf apices – Acuminate; Leaf base -Cuneate; Leaf margin -Crenate; 10-15cms

Inflorescence Type/ Size- Capitula; Corymbose cyme

Flowers Size/ Colour/ Calyx/ Bracts- 2-3(ht) x 2-2.5 cm ; Dark pink
Fruits Type/ Shape/ Size Seeds- Not found
