Young shoots rufous. Leaves 12-15 x 3 cm, ovate-lanceolate, apex acuminate, base rounded; petiole 0.6-0.8 cm long. Flowers solitary, pedicels to 4 cm long, slender; bracts 1.5-2 cm across, ovate, cordate at base; sepals 3 x 1.2 cm, ovate-lanceolate, dark green; outer petals 4.5 x 1.5 cm; inner petals narrower, silky pubescent, green. stamens ca 2 mm long; ovaries many, densely hairy, stigma obovoid, green. Flowering and fruiting: April-October

D lawii and D viridiflorus are difficult id in the field. Would you please share how to dintinguish these two species.
For me, the pedicels are slender and long in D. lawii and are thick and short in D. viridiflorus.
