I checked species of … & found that some are not valid names (rather syn. of other stated names) while a few others have been moved to another genera like … I think this appears to be a situation in other genera also & situation may get confused.

I have updated eFI (efloraofindia) page on Crateva (Pl. click).

Attempts have been made to incorporate most of the species available in India & nearby areas with details & keys directly or through links as far as possible. It’s quite possible that there may be some discrepancy in the accepted names & synonyms taken from other links.

If someone can provide complete list of Indian species with source references it will be wonderful.

That is very nice of you. This will be very useful to all botanist.

I have a tree – C. tapia out side my college. When ever temperature drops down and there is cold climate, it shades it’s leaves and it becomes completely leafless. As soon as there is increase on temperature, new leaves start coming and there is sporadic flowering. I often see 10-15 flowers along with few new leaves.
Such a way, this particular tree flowers 4-5 times in a year. I have checked this behavior with other individual trees and they too show similar behavior.
However, those donot flower 4-5 times but 2-3 times in a year.
