This looks more like Cyclocodon parviflorus (Wall. ex DC.) Hook f. & Thomson (syn.: Campanumoea parviflora (wall. ex. A. DC.) Benth. to me. Link
Please check carefully with literature and your specimens.
The plant seems to be Cyclocodon lancifolius
I think … is right, C. lancifolius
C. parviflorus: Flowers often 4-merous; calyx inserted on pedicel, distant from other floral parts by 1-4 mm, like involucral bracts.
C. lancifolius: Flowers usually 5- or 6-merous; calyx at least partly adnate to ovary
http://www.efloras.org/object_page.aspx?object_id=120071&flora_id=2
As per this, it should be Cyclocodon lancifolius.
I think this maybe C.axillaris as per A Monograph of Codonopsis and Allied Genera (Campanulaceae) (2015)
Stem erect or ascending, branching, not hollow, milky juice present
These two species known in India (Cyclocodon lancifolius and C. parviflora) are mentioned under genus Campanumoea (C. lancifolia and C. parviflora) in Fascicles of Flora of India Fascicle-22, and differentiated as under:
Calyx adnate to ovary for a short length and to fruits up to the middle ….C.lancifolius.
Calyx entirely free from ovary, situated often on the pedicels ……. C. parviflora.
In the pics sepals are adnate to ovary indicating Cyclocodon lancifolius.
As per this, it should be Cyclocodon lancifolius.
I think this maybe C.axillaris as per A Monograph of Codonopsis and Allied Genera (Campanulaceae) (2015)
Cyclocodon lancifolius Kurz !
Pl. go through the images in the Monograph look link, I have given you.
Pl. see the shape of the calyx w.r.t. the fruit as well as the corolla.
Link does not open, however calyx looks different. You may be right … !
