Please identify fern species: 2 heic images.
I think it is from Hooghly, West Bengal.
The photographs are completely inadequate. 1. Do not photograph young uncurling fronds and expect them to be identifiable .2, Photograph frond bases (lower pinnae), not apices. 3. Ensure photos remain in focus when magnified so we can see the veins and hairs etc.
At a guess, this is either Diplazium esculentum (edible) or Thelypteris (Christella) arida (poisonous).
If you send a mature pinna photo I could tell you which.
