Check probability of Amorphophallus margaritifer (Roxb.) Kunth.

I have asked Amorphophallus expert Wilbert Hetterscheid. According to him it is definitely a member of section Plesmonium of which Amorphophallus margaritifer is a member. However, certainly in this section it is very important to have a picture of the inside of the spathe for the shape of the “naughty bits” in order to establish which species it can be. His first thought is Amophophallus longiconnectivus although he doesn’t rule out margaritifer or even bhandarensis (but that would be outside its supposed distribution range). It all depends on what is inside the spathe.

I have taken pictures yesterday of this species from field. Attachments (3).

Amorphophallus margaritifer, check the excellent webpages of the International Aroid Society for comparison

Thank you Sir. I did visited the site on the very first occasion.
