Nevertheless, i thought of sharing this once again.. This small herb was spotted at the top of Doraikatte Hill (near Motigudda), Karnataka. Herb was hardly 3cm in height, flower single, hardly 4 to 6mm across, pinkish coloured. Canscora diffusa (Vahl) R.Br. ex Roem. & Schult. as per another thread Does not fit with images at Canscora diffusa (Vahl) R.Br. ex Roem. & Schult. Last image 3929 looks different from others. I find it close to images at Canscorinella stricta (Sedgwick) Nampy & Shahina & as per Shahina PM, Santhosh Nampy. 2014. Is it some species of Centaurium? Exacum sp ? Gentianaceae for sure. it look like some Centaurium sp. Gentianaceae member for sure, most probably Exacum sp.
