Twining glabrous herb with leaves clustered at ends of lateral branches; leaves ovate-elliptic, 3-10 cm long, entire; flowers nodding; calyx lobes leaf-like, 2-3 cm long, corolla yellow-green or whitish, 3-4 cm long, bell-shaped insided with violet lines or spots, lobes revolute, short; disc green, fleshy; filaments subulate; capsule 2-3 cm across, seeds winged. Just wondering about the name lanceolata….as the leaves are ovate elliptic rather than lanceolate. Leaves in this species vary from lanceolate to ovate-elliptic. Pl. see the second photograph.
