I could locate proper flowers of this. and the winged fruits measures up to 4cm across. Leaves about 15cm longer. Could this be any Dipterocarp? Place: vaalparai, TN Date: 13 July 2012 Alt.: 950 m asl Habitat: roadside near rain forest It is a Diospyros species. The fruits are c.3cm across. I have attached the pictures of fruits here.
