This is Erodium tibetanum which Stewart records from Ladakh @ 3300-4800m. In Ladakh there is also E.stephanianum @ 3300-3900m but this has much more dissected foliage. E.cicutarium has not been recorded for Ladakh but is common in the hills & plains to 2700m. ‘Flowers of Himalaya’ only describe E.cicutarium which they say is common in Kashmir. Klimes & Dickore found E.stephanianum a weed along roads, ditches & dump sites in ‘lower’ Ladakh. ‘Flora of Lahaul-Spiti’ list E.stephanianum as rare in moist places – which does not tally with Klimes & Dickore’s observations but the situation may be different in Lahoul?
