Does not look like Dillenia. It is a small shrub and has got spines.
Gymnosporia royleana Wall. ex M.A.Lawson ???
I think looks different as per images at
https://efloraofindia.com/2014/02/05/gymnosporia-royleana/
4 sps. are listed for Nepal, viz., Ovate (300-400), royleana (900-2000), rufa (200-02200) and thomsonii (200-2100).
Does not match with ovata, rufa and thomsonii. If it is Gymnosporia, only matching sps. looks like royleana.
