Leaves alternate, lamina elliptic-lanceolate, 5-10 × 1.5-3.5cm, margin entire. Flowers greenish, 1.5-2cm long, on 15-20 cm long terminal lax spike. Bracts ovate-lanceolate. Sepals 3, oblique, similar attached to the top of the ovary. Petals 6, greenish, entire, linear, lip spurred, 3 lobed, mid lobe narrow and longer than laterals. Pollinia enclosed in tubes. Ovary inferior, 3 lobed, oblong. Capsule curved and beaked; seeds many, dusty. Habitat & location: Endemic to E.Ghats. Rare. Found in cool shady places near water falls in hill side forests.
