Seen in Fremont on the 28th Sept,14 with probably lots of dried flowers.


don’t you ever take picture of the whole tree?
if no in one take multiples that can be stitched together in Photoshop or some such programs or in panorama feature in most of the point and shoot cameras nowadays…

This could be New Zealand Tea TreeLeptospermum scoparium of Myrtaceae.

very nice. faces of the flowers. was this in a private garden or a curated botanical garden?

Along roadside in Sunnyvale.


grows abundantly around the coast but sunnyvale? how far is it from the pacific? regardless its nice to see..


nice to see because it was also the original tree in the far pacific where sailors made therapeutic teas
made famous by Captain cook
I used to have one in balcony pot …was trying to train it for bonsai. but did not like living in the stuffy room when it snowed… .. and died..

Leptospermum scoparium (Manuka) commonly available small to medium trees (Belongs to Eucalyptus family) with small leaves very popular for essential oil extraction, medicinal use and honey production. Honey bees collect honey from its flowers. Newzealand Honey is world famous.
