Location: Manju Park, Soureni, India Date: 6 May 2018 Altitude: 2900 ft Habit : Cultivated Confirm whether the fruits contain seeds on not. Cultivated Naming a cultivated taxon is very difficult unless we get full details about the flowers and fruits. Based on the available literature regarding the nomenclatural history and naming of banana (Musa cultivars) it is concluded that, all cultivars derived from the pure M. acuminata (AA, AAA, etc) and M. balbisiana (BB, BBB, etc) lines can be treated under their respective parents and all others (hybrids of M. acuminata and M. balbisiana) can be denoted as Musa × paradisiaca L.
