It could be Polyalthia fragrans. Cananga odorata yes it is Polyalthia fragrans a rare tree and found in Amboli or in I am a bit confused…. so which is it? … having taken look at pictures of both species on internet, to me both of them look quite close !! So my guess will not add any value to this post. Requesting .. to reconsider their IDs and comment. …precisely… this is my reservation about बेधडक id of a plant based on low resolution pictures that are often of poor quality… its not just flowers’ id… I have the same reservation about diagnosis on telemedicine…about some cancers in particular… where the malignant cells’s features do not get transmitted properly… etc etc…. I always knew one had tho look at the tree/shrub/herb/plant in to to, bark, leaves and flowers, often dissecting them in great details …. to arrive at a diagnosis… that’s why I am in awe of people who can do it… in most cases its possible, I guess…. when afeature is soooo unique as in the Jabotyicab I showed… etc… but ylang ylang… too many variations and types across the continents… and too many other things that loo alike… we may need to re think… while I have your attention, that yellow flower labelled as Rudbeckia in flowers of india net may not be rudbeckia… need to be looked at and all the pictures that were taken that day at the same time..carefully… (also that website may have been hacked… asks for email address of you and your friend just to let one see the flower picture since yesterday evening) my two cents worth…. about rudbeckia… Its a Polyalthia fragrans Annonacea of north Western Ghats (Maharashtra) – 5.
