Shrubs. Leaves 8-12 x 4-6 cm, oblanceolate, apex acuminate or acute, base attenuate, nerves looped near the margin, petiole 0.5-1 cm, stipule with long hairs. Flowers in terminal globose heads mixed rufous hairs; calyx ca 1.5 mm, ciliate, lobes 5; corolla tube very short; stamens inserted on the corolla tube; style ca 4 mm, stigma bifid.

Please help me to identify this shrub found in the wet forests of Nilgiris. It was an undergrowth shrub of 1-2 m tall; found common.
Leaf: about 20 cm long
Flower: white, 1 cm across
Location: Kodanad, Nilgiris, TN
Alt.: 1995 M ASL

This is a species of Psychotria. I am unable to recollect the species name.
It grows in the undergrowth of mid elevation evergreen forests. It is mentioned in Gamble flora
