Trailing herbs, upto 75 cm long. Young stem, petioles and peduncles pubescent with short hooked hairs. Leaves 3-foliolate; middle leaflet 1-1.5 x 0.8-1.2 cm, ovate-obovate, cuneate at base, obtuse or slightly emarginate at tip; laterals 0.8-1.2 x 0.6-0.8 cm, elliptic, glabrous above, pubescent beneath; stipules 5-7 mm long, lanceolate, acuminate. Flowers in 2-5-flowered terminal racemes. Calyx minute, lobes deeply 2-cleft; teeth subulate. Corolla 2-3 mm long, purple. Ovary c. 1 mm long, oblong; ovules many. Pods 6-8 x 5-6 mm, oblong, turgid, hirsute, black when mature.
