It appears like images of Uvaria hamiltonii Hook. f. & Thomson posted by … rather than images of Uvaria narum (Dunal) Blume posted by … The mature leaves of U. hamiltonii are densely hirsute and rough on backside. however in U. lurida the leaves are glabrous. Please check it. I dont think this can be U. hamiltonii. I am keeping on the debate, It may be Uvaria zeylanica, rather than U. concava (=U. lurida). … should clarify. I have not studied this genus so I am not very sure. But i dont think its U. zeylanica since it has much smaller leaves and flat lanceolate petals (not concave). I dont think its hamiltonii or lurida as they are known only from north east and Orissa. U. hamiltonii also has tomentose leaves while the leaves look glabrous in this species, I think it could be either U. narum or U. hookerii. A photo of the fruit and a LS of a fruitlet might help. I shall go for Uvaria narum (Dunal) Blume with distribution Help -Uvaria narum: 2 images. The root formed; but first leaves are not coming from Seed. Any ideas? Spray water morning and evening and watch out. Also water the seedling. Donot allow it to dry.
