I checked Viscum angulatum and another close species Viscum articulatum.
As per description and some facts found on the internet,
Stem shape of Viscum angulatum is quadrangular while that of Viscum articulatum is flattened and compressed
In the high-altitude regions of the Western Ghats, Viscum articulatum has a significantly higher chance of being present than Viscum angulatum.

Going through the photos of the posted plant, I find that though the stems are not distinctly quadrangular, it is certain that it is not flattened or compressed.
I will label the observation as Viscum angulatum B.Heyne ex DC. for now and wait for validation.

I am finding it difficult to analyze.
This (Viscum ramosissimum) is more likely because distribution is also present in the Nilgiris.
It is not mentioned for Viscum angulatum
It is not mentioned for Viscum angulatum
Also stem character matches.
