Two holomycotrophic orchids have been reported from Kalimpong, West Bengal and Gangtok Sikkim which includes one new record for India and a new species from Sikkim, India.
Photos of both species have been attached herewith for eflora to aid in easy identification.

It is morphologically allied to G. bawanglingensis and G. theana but critical observation revealed considerable differences in floral morphological characters. A detailed taxonomical description along with photoplates, illustration, comparison with the allied species and keys for all Gastrodia species from India is provided to aid in easy identification.)
