Bignoniaceae Climber for Id from Nahan: This climber with yellow flowers was shot from Renuka Ji lake in April 2011. Please help to identify..

This is Bignonia anguis-cati or Cat’s Paw. The terminal leaflet is modified into 3 fid tendrils which hold on to rough surface of the wall hence the name.

Bignonia anguis-cati, the tendrills are 3 pronged and they initially hold the support as if someone (a cat) is trying to hold a grip to climb somewhere…..anguis-cati literally means fingers or claws of a cat…

Small spelling correction Bignonia unguis-cati L. now correctly known as Dolichandra unguis-cati (L.) L.G.Lohmann

It is only recently that I came to know the botanical name of this plant.

I am not aware of any other common name.

Bignonia unguis-cati is another synonym.

Here are some pics. Please help me to identify the climber. The picture was taken at Anand Loke, New Delhi.

Unable to see the details. Close up would have helped.

Just a guess after zooming the picture….. Dolichandra unguis-cati.

But as … rightly said, close up pictures would help.

Thanks …  Mailing more photos.

Thanks … It does look like my suggested id.

Submitted photograph of a climber for validation from Mahe. Photographed in October, 2019. Is it Dolichandrone unguis-cati?

I think you are right.
The typical claws may not be seen in older leaves but you may find them on younger leaves.
The flowering season is actually March April at least in Maharashtra. Your flowers are in Oct. That is not matching

Thank you very much … In fact there was a single flower I saw in October which I photographed.

Try Bignoniaceae.

Appears close to https://efloraofindia.com/2011/03/26/pyrostegia-venusta/, but pods appear to be different.

Yes … Pods look different. Maybe some other Bignoniaceae!

To me, it appears Dolichandra unguis-cati.
