Leucocoprinus cepistipes (often spelled cepaestipes), is a species of fungus in the family Agaricaceae. It is typically found on wood debris, such as wood chips. Typical characteristics include a fine-scaled bell-shaped cap, a partial veil, and a tendency to bruise a yellow to brown when handled. The edibility is not well known, but Leucocoprinus cepistipes is not recommended.

Hooghly Today : seems to be Coprinus again : Attachments (6). 6 posts by 2 authors.
This one was growing on a roadside rotten stump, covered with sand and dirt.

This does seem to be in the Coprinoid group though the genus may not necessarily be Coprinus any more. Our group is in Virginia in the US and I am not sure that we are the best resource for identifying fungi of India–the species vary so much on our continents

I am very thankful to you, very thankful to …, thankful to all.
First a video, found in youtube, very interesting – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0xYfbzFSuk
