Barleria gibsonioides : Pune: Barleria gibsonioides Acanthaceae Pl. validate. Observed this plant near NDA Tekdi Pune. Shrub around a meter in height. Leaves 15-20 cm ovate/elliptic glabrous, opposite. Flowers in terminal racemes. Bracts foliaceous faint green.2.5 to 3cm. Corolla 8-9cm 2 lipped 4above one below. Two distinct darker spots on upper middle lips. Need ID for this plant: Hope somebody can ID the plant based on the photo of the flower attached. Date Taken: 28.10.2012
Location: 50 Kilometers from Pune near Panshet on a mountain slope at an elevation of about 900 meters above sea level.
