Erect glabrous herbs, 40-50 cm tall; roots tuberous, fusiform; stem ribbed. Leaves decompound; petiole 5-6 cm long with broad sheathing base; leaflets pinnatifid, segments irregularly serrate. Flowers 1.5-2 mm long, white, polygamous, in axillary and terminal compound umbels 5-10; pedicels to 3 mm long; bracts 1; bracteoles 3, ovate-lanceolate. Calyx 5-lobed; teeth larger in outer flowers. Petals 5, free, oblong, emerginate. Stamens 5; filaments incurved; anthers 2-celled. Fruits 4 x 2 mm, globose or ovoid, dorsally compressed crowned with conical disc; mericarps ridged; ridges slender, many

This should be Polyzygus or Heracleum species, not a Pinda. 


To me it is Pinda concanensis.
I am posting pics separately of what I believe is Heracleum sp. Please confirm.

The plant is surely Pinda concanensis which is the most common herb on hill tops of Western ghats during monsoon.
Also one of the most common in Lonavala and Khandala region
