Areca triandra and A. concinna are very similar. The difference lies in the number of stamens. A. triandra as the name indicates it is triandrous while A. concinna is hexandrous.
 

Endemic to Sri Lanka.
This small clustering palm tree is restricted to lowland rainforest.
Its habitat is threatened by the expansion of human habitation.
