Erigeron sublyratus Roxb. ex DC., R. Wight, Contr. bot. India 9. 1834 (syn. Aster benghalensis DC. [Invalid]; Erigeron asteroides Roxb. [Illegitimate]; Erigeron benghalensis (B.Heyne ex DC.) M.R.Almeida [Invalid]; Erigeron hispidus DC.);
Erect, aromatic, annual herb; branchlets hirsute. Leaves alternate, oblanceolate to spathulate, to 5 x 2 cm, chartaceous, base auriculate, apex obtuse. Capitula heterogamous, 8 mm wide, terminal or in upper axils, in few-flowered racemes. Involucre 5 mm wide. Phyllaries linear, 2-seriate. Ray florets numerous, purplish, tube 2.5 mm; lobes 3 mm. Eligulate pistillate florets with protruding style. Disk florets c. 20, yellowish, 4 mm. Achenes of ray and eligulate florets obovoid, those of disk florets terete. Pappus c. 20, of white setae. Flowering and fruiting: April-July

I hope it is Blumea sp., the head looked very attractive to me, unlikely of all the previous sightings, your opinion please…..!!

Erigeron sublyratus DC. (=E.asteroides Roxb.) is an uncommon small herb in Pantnagar.
Unlike others this species produce three different types of florets in flower head.
Here photographed in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand.

Closer to Erigeron sublyratus!
“Bengal Plants” has only one species – Erigeron asteroides Roxb., the current accepted name of which is Erigeron sublyratus Roxb. ex DC.

This is a hairy 2.5 ft annual, found on roadside.
Erigeron sublyratus as per another thread.
Inula is excluded because in subtribe including Aster and Erigeron, ray florets are never yellow, whereas in one including Inula ray florets are yellow.
Thank you Sir. I also noticed, at the time of this upload, that there was no yellow Inula pic in the net.
