DV :: 01MAY12 – 0511 :: Grangea-like small herb at Tungwadi:
Place: at Tung Wadi, Lonavala
Time: May 1, 2012 at 5.11pm
Habit: small Asteraceae herb
Habitat: growing wild in dried field near bund ~ 2500 ft asl
Plant height: about 6 – 8 inches

I think this is similar to one that I had photographed from Panvel & posted earlier.
Let me check and get back.

Just a guess….leaves in your picture and mine posted earlier, the leaves resemble Blumea oxyodonta, ‘Spiny Leaved Blumea’ as in ‘flowersofindia’.
Kindly have a look.

Many thanks …– a very good possibility.

Does not match with images at Blumea oxyodonta DC.
Also I could not find match as per comparative images at Blumea

It is Blumea glomeratacorollas yellow, heads sessile in distinct fascicles on long nearly leafless spikes; leaves oblanceolate, coarsely toothed, or pinnatifid; plants densely hairy (as per FPM Gamble, ..)

Thank you very much … for resurfacing the query. Many thanks … for the ID.
May I take Blumea glomerata DC. as synonym of Blumea fistulosa (Roxb.) Kurz

Thanks, … But I am not getting convinced as per High resolution specimens at

I find lot of variations in the Blumea species.

This is not Grangea for sure. will get back to the species in some time

Already identified as per feedback below:
It is Blumea glomeratacorollas yellow, heads sessile in distinct fascicles on long nearly leafless spikes; leaves oblanceolate, coarsely toothed, or pinnatifid; plants densely hairy(as per FPM Gamble, ..)
