C.Jaffrey & Y.L.Chen [=Senecio kunthianus Wall. ex DC.] is a common woody based perennial in subalpine and alpine zones of Uttarakhand.
It is a late bloomer flowering in August and onward up to October.
Beautiful patches of it can be seen along route to Valley of Flowers above Ghangaria.
