Seen this Shrub near a river bed at Shakati at GHNP.
Could this be Berberis aristata??

Saw these at many places along the Govindghat-Ghangaria trail, Uttarakhand in Aug 2018.
Requested to please provide ID. Are they some berberis?

Yes, … Pl. check comparative images at /species/a—l/b/berberidaceae/berberis

They look closer to B. lycium. Please validate.

To me appear more closer to images at Berberis aristata DC. compared to those at Berberis lycium Royle
