This shrub with spine-toothed leaves was recorded from Chakrata region..

As per this thread this is Mahonia jaunsarensis.. please validate..

I think it is Mahonia jaunsarensis, an endemic of the area.

It is certainly not Berberis.

I meant to say Mahonia napaulensis only, as GRIN says this is a synonym of Berberis napaulensis.
