Intergeneric hybrid between Chilopsis linearis × Catalpa bignonioides

This interesting intergeneric hybrid was developed in Tashkent in early sixtees, much away from the home of two American parental species.

While photographing this plant here in California, I thought it to be some species of Catalpa, but found leaves much narrower. The narrowness of leaves is attributed to Chilopsis linearis and flower structure to mainly Catalpa.
