All these photographs were taken by my colleague who had a recent trip in Duars area. I will ask her if she can remember the particular place where she recorded all these cacti. Meanwhile I am attaching a couple of shots that suggest that this is a nursery. That is really something …, I stick with Cleistocactus on this and still think it is samaipatanus. I wonder what caused it to begin losing it’s chlorophyll like that? This is indeed a rare find.
