Kindly help me with identification. Cultivated shrub, up to 2 m tall Leaves simple, opposite, up to cm long, serrulate, elliptic-lanceolate Flowers in terminal paniculate clusters, pinkish, darker on the outside, up to 6 cm long. It can be a bad guess but I think this plant is Weigela florida (Bunge) DC. I have seen it only once but look very close to this plant. Yes …, you are really a genius, you reminded me the genus. It is of course Weigela hortensis: deeeply cut calyx with linear lobes, pubescent leaves, corolla tube abruptly expanded above. The name had just slipped off my mind. That’s great !!!! I was not good enough to give the complete epithet at least I was partially right .

Weigela florida (Bunge) A.DC. has got distribution in China (Beijing) whereas Weigela hortensis (Siebold & Zucc.) K.Koch have no distribution for China !
