Ipomoea alba: At Akshi beach,Alibag The sepals are definitely not Ipomoea alba but unless there was some additional information to indicate otherwise > I am in agreement with the ID of Ipomoea violacea.

Habitat: Wild, Mangrove Plant Habit: Climber – This would be Ipomoea violacea, a mangrove associate. – yes it is a dried fruit of Ipomoea violacea. seen it many times at Gorai creek. – The branches of Operculina are quandrangular and winged….the fruits are loobed and pinkish-whitish in colour... this for sure Ipomoea violacea and cant be sonneretia even in dreams…Sonnertia is Lytheraceae – 100 % this is Ipomoea violacea, a mangrove associate plant.

Sonadia Island, no bloomed flower Bud in the first picture reminds of Ipomoea sp. or some member of Convolvulaceae. Thanks … I agree with you. agree with … is that a bud? or a developing fruit? I am not sure, … Attachments (1) – 6 Mb. Most probably Ipomoea violacea. 1: … so that round object was a developing fruit? and these are developing buds 2: … if had these you should have submitted at the same time, with other two. its better that way saves valuable time for people who volunteer to help you.

A mention of habitat would have resolved the issue quickly.
Sorry for the inconvenience, however, the habitat is a costal island where tidal inundation is common. The climber is found at sand dunes under the the casurina forest. The size of leaf is larger than few others ipomea species
