Please help me to identify this Cyperaceae member. Its found in wetland plains. The height varies from proximity to water (taller on shores and shorter away from shore).
Habitat: wetland (marshy ground near a pond)
Height: 15-25 cm
Inflorescence: 2.5 cm long
Location: Kancheepuram dist., TN
Alt.: 15 m asl
Date: 09 May 2015
Time: 10:00 AM

It can be Schoenoplectus juncoides, but I need a specimen to confirm the identity.

I think Scirpus lateriflorus..

… may be correct. But I need a specimen to confirm the identity. In Cyperaceae, often image of the plant is not enough for correct identification.
