Prostrate herbs, puberulus. Leaves 3-6 cm; leaflets 8-13 pairs, 13 x 4 mm, falcate, mucronate, midrib near to upper margin, gland on the petiole stipitate, near to the lowest pair of leaflets; petiole to 0.5 cm, stipules 3-7 mm. Flowers axillary, 1-3, yellow; bracts and bracteoles 2-3 mm; sepals 6-7 mm long, pubescent; petals 8-10 mm; stamens 10, subequal. Pod 4.5 x 0.5 cm, flat, hairy, thickened on the sutures.
Flowering and fruiting: November-March

Dry and moist deciduous forests, also in the plains  
Peninsular India and Sri Lanka

Seems interesting as I could not match it with any species in efi as per comparative images at Senna


It is Chamaecrista kleinii (Wight&Arn.) V.Singh; leaflets 4-10 pairs; small gland just below the first pair of leaflets; flowers with 10 stamens indicate it as Chamaecrista kleinii (Wight&Arn.) V.Singh
