Herbaceous plant for ID ABNOV2016/02 : 9 posts by 3 authors. 7 IMAGES.
This one was above Triund. I could not place this (I thought of Swertia, Bupleurum, Euphorbia…). Please advise.
Above Triund, Dharamshala, HP
3100m approx.

Swertia no doubt. Don’t know local sp.

Bupleurum to me.
Beautiful images, and because of late season morphology is partially changed (as I understand).

Thank you … I only saw a lone plant on my walk and will keep an eye next year for it.

Certainly Bupleurum (pl. see comparative images here)

Neither it is Bupleurum nor Swertia

It is Swertia not Euphorbia
In my a few minutes earlier mail where I have written Niether Bupleurum nor Swertia. Please read it as Niether Bupleurum nor Euphorbia

Although flowers look very different, if it is Swertia, S. alternifolia is the possibility because of alternate leaves altitude matches with its Distribution in Choor and Kedarkanta

This comment in FBI 4: 128 is important “All authors describe the flowers as Golden or yellow, it is probable they have no authority except Royle’s artist, and that the flowers are really Lurid blue”

Does not look like S. alternifolia !
Yes, it looks different as per GBIF specimens also.
