15102011GS2 a tall herb from Dakpathar for ID: A tall herb up to 2 m tall covered with long spreading woolly hairs, 4-angled; leaves opposite up to 30 cm long, broadly ovate to elliptic, petiole as long as blade, slightly cordate at base. flowers white 7-10 mm long, sessile in slender terminal spikes, inflorescence covered with dense spreading hairs, flowers in axils of broadly ovate large bracts, almost equalling flowers. Perilla again: Perilla frutescens var. frutescens from Dakpathar-GSMAY2016/05 : 2 posts by 2 authors. I am now more or less convinced that they are two different plants. This plant from Dakpathar is true Perilla frutescens var. frutescens. Perilla frutescens (L.) Britt. var. frutescens Erect herb with densely villous stems; leaves broadly ovate, up to 12 c m long, pilose above, villous beneath, margin coarsely serrate; inflorescence and pedicels densely; flowers white, calyx up to 11 mm long in fruit, villous at base; nutlets gray-brown.
