A tree at Darjeeling, West Bengal
15 May,2013

To me it looks like a member of Magnoliaceae. And, it somewhat matches to Alcimandra cathcartii (= Michelia/Magnolia cathcartii).

may be Magnolia stella.

Again i do not know this plant. But if i am to pick out one between the two suggested IDs i will take Alcimandra cathcartiihttp://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=242302067. M. cathcartii H. f. & T. (FBI, vol1. p42) has oblong-lanceolate, acuminate leaves; distributed in Sikkim Himalaya.

Magnolia stellata also a shrub –
